About Me

I'm Sandy Hollstegge.  I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Inspired by my mom (who always wanted to be a teacher but never had the chance) and my incredible ninth grade English teacher, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelors of Arts degree.  Later I earned a Master degree in education from Marygrove College.  I have been teaching for fifteen years, thirteen of those at Whitewater Valley Elementary.  I have taught fourth grade for the past twelve years.  In my opinion, I have the best job in the world!   Fourth grade is lots of fun.

I am very involved with lots of activities at WVE.  I am the AR Coordinator and Technology Coordinator for the building, which means I'm responsible for all of the computers when they break, so I am very busy!!! I'm known as a computer geek, but I take that as a compliment!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, going to movies, working with computers, working on my website, planting in my flower gardens, and spending time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy making crafts, tackling home improvement projects, and and being creative in any way.
